Umpires - Contact, Forms and Information
NSNA Umpires Exam: Available here however please note that in 2011, only those turning 12 or 13 are eligible to sit this exam. All other umpires must obtain a pass in the AANA 6 year exam (see next item).
Umpires for Carnivals: Umpires are required for carnivals where NSNA's representative teams are playing as follows:
3 April - Manly
1 May - Norths
15 May - Baulkham Hills (Kellyville)
5 June - Hills (Pennant Hills)
19 June - Campbelltown (badged umpires only)
Umpires are to be JL 1 or SL 2 or above, depending on numbers, coaching will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for umpires to get dedicated coaching which may lead to badging or higher levels being attained. Please contact the Umpires Committee for more information.
Junior Levels 2010
All Australia Umpires Exam (link): A pass (70%) in this year is valid for 6 years. The exam is now online and if you fail, you are able to start again until you pass. Please ensure that you put Northern Suburbs as your association (no shortened versions or acronyms) which will allow Netball NSW to accurately distribute the results. Participants may also like to provide a print out of their certificate to the Umpires Committee (if you have printing facilities) so we can update our records.
Rule Changes for 2011: Please note that a rule change for 2011 has been confirmed. Coaches are now permitted to coach during stoppages in the match.
